IFFEd CEO Karthik Krishnan and COO Nina Stochniol, along with key partners from the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) have met partners in Manila to finalise the first ADB-backed investments.

The meetings marked an important step in finalising the first projects to be financed through IFFEd’s innovative mechanism, enabling countries to access large-scale, affordable finance for education and skills development.
These discussions focused on a shared vision: ensuring that finance is never a barrier to learning. The projects under development include initiatives to expand digital learning, support teacher training, and develop climate-smart classrooms across Asia.
“These conversations were about more than funding models,” said Karthik Krishnan. “They were about partnerships, shared priorities, and the practical ways innovative finance, prudent policies and learning interventions can accelerate progress for learners everywhere.”
With trusted partners like ADB and FCDO, IFFEd’s vision is becoming a reality – turning design into delivery and helping countries invest in the future of their young people.
